Disney World offers various discounts on Disney hotel stays and vacation packages throughout the year. With the right discount code, you can potentially save a lot. In my experience, travel agents are not always aware of these discount codes, so you may miss out if you rely solely on your agent's advice. At the time I booked our last Disney vacation, my agent did not know that there was a free dining promotion, so I would have missed out on a huge savings opportunity if I had not been a savvy consumer and educated myself about the codes.

MouseSavers.com is a great source for Disney World information, and they publish the discount codes as soon as Disney releases them. Study the codes, and be sure to ask your travel agent whether you are receiving the best deal. There are room only deals for savings on just the hotel stay at a Disney property, and there are package deals for vacation packages that include hotel, park tickets, and/or dining.

For example, right now, with code RYH, you can get the dining plan added for free to any full price vacation package that includes at least 3 consecutive hotel nights at a Walt Disney world resort plus at least a one-day theme park ticket.
